Freeze drying, aka lyophilization or cryodesiccation, is a low temperature dehydration process which involves freezing the product, lowering pressure, then removing the ice by sublimation. With 3 models featuring temperatures from -110°C to -55°C and ice condensing capacity from 3 to 8 kg all goals of a lab can be virtually achieved.

Water may be a source of problems in many compounds and products that have to undergo tests and analysis and as a consequence it has to be removed and since time is a crucial issue it has to be done as quickly as possible. The undisputed advantages of freeze drying vs/ other techniques are the high quality of the final product due to the low temperature used during the process, the original shape of the product maintained and the quality of the d/rehydrated product that is simply excellent.
