SIEVA-2 is a filtration centrifuge with microprocessor control. By an opening in the lid it is possible to fill the centrifugal basket during rotation. The solids remain in the centrifugal basket and the liquid can run off through a opening on the right side. The transparent lid allows a visual monitoring of the centrifugation. The SIEVA-2 is very versatile and suitable for various applications.

The operating principle of this centrifuge is the cake filtration, the filtration in which the required pressure force is generated in the centrifugal field. The perforated rotor is lined with a filter cloth. Due to the continuous inflow of the suspension, a filter cake builds up in the rotor, while the clarified liquid drains through the rotor casing or on the edge of the basket.

The filtration centrifuge Sieva-2 is mainly used for batch separation of relatively coarse particles or crystalline substances.

The Z 216 M and Z 216 MK are setting new standards in this centrifuge class. Capable of centrifuging up to 44 x 1,5 / 2,0 ml at each run. Due to their compact design and quiet running they are fitting perfectly in their working area. The powerful refrigeration system of Z 216 MK keeps samples at temperatures as low as 4°C during a continious run at 20000xg.

These high-volume centrifuges Z 446 and Z 446 K achieve a throughput of 68 x 15 ml conical tubes or 28 x 50 ml conical tubes at a max.RCF of 3434/4346 xg. If higher speeds are required, we also offer e.g. an angle rotor with a max. RCF of 14532/16022 xg for 10 x 50 ml. The fixed-angle and swing-out rotors are suitable for almost all aplications in everyday use in clinical, industrial and research laboratories.

Hielscher ultrasonic laboratory devices are compact, easy-to-use and extremely versatile. They can be used for the processing of a variety of organic and inorganic materials in a wide range of volumes. Typical applications of ultrasonic homogenizers include sample preparation, disintegrating and cell lysis, homogenizing, dispersing and disaggregation, particle size reduction and the acceleration of chemical reactions (sonochemistry). Hielscher offers a wide range of ultrasonic homogenizers to be used for these applications in a wide range of volumes from approx. 50µL to 2000mL.
